Hi! I'm Sara, and I do this work because I have been right where you are.

I struggled for most of my life with anxiety, depression, a digestive disorder, and a weak immune system, while also battling low self confidence and a very negative body image. I would diet, boot camp, and juice cleanse my way into trying to lose weight, feel better, and like my body more, only to wind up feeling ten times worse than before. I wish I had known back then that the key to getting the body I wanted was by relaxing and loving my way into it, not by forcing, pushing, and guilting.

I finally took my health into my own hands about 10 years ago in a healthier, more positive way. It all started with changing the way I ate - replacing the diets with actually learning how to nourish my body. I started feeling better drastically and immediately, which lit the fire within me to help others feel better too.

After becoming certified as a Holistic Nutrition Consultant in 2016, it became clear to me that while paying attention to what we eat is crucial, paying attention to how we think about our bodies and our relationship with food is even more important, and consequently can be more complex and challenging. I knew that in order to truly heal and help other women do the same, I had to dive deeper, which led me to study Eating Psychology and Positive Psychology.

For the last 5 years I have worked to empower women to reject diet culture, learn to eat intuitively, unlearn the toxic body beliefs they have absorbed from society, develop deep self compassion, and realize that we are worthy of everything we want in life no matter what our bodies look like.

 

Often this journey results in physical changes such as weight loss and alleviated symptoms, because the body stores what we are unable to process emotionally. It always results in living a more full, true, beautiful life.

 

When we can break free from the world’s expectations of us and start living from a place of truth and fierce, unconditional self love, we are powerful beyond belief.
